Backround;
Benjamin Holland was born on Luna, the Moon of earth in the time the Federation was expanding to everywhere in the galaxy.
His Mother Tán was a very unique vulcan since she had learned to express her feelings, one of the things ben's fther, Roger Holland invented, Vulcan Emotions...
Benjamin Holland's dad, Roger was never home since he was Captain on a StarBase, SB 451 in the Gamma Omega Sector, after 4 years, when his mother finished her study at Starfleet JAG he and his mother were transferred to SB 451, his mother as Chief Of Justise and Naval Affairs. What was the first time in 2 1/2 years that he saw his father again, after 2 years the entire fammily was transferred to the USS Surak, a Saber class Assault vessel, the Surak was destroyed 3 moths after the assignment of the 3 people.
now his father and his mother got the chance to have their Complete self designed ship in Order and Starfleet Approved the building of it, it was the first ever build Wells-class, the had the first slipstream Beacon Prototype and had the first Omega Core Reactor, the ship was the USS Victory, build for fast travel and Carrier functions, and the largest ship in stafleet, with the 2 decked Bridge and the 9 decked Engineer one of the largest Command facilities on a starship, the ship it self was 60 decks high.
the USS Victory was destroyed at a Omega Core breach, that had to breach becuase the ship was in the wrong hands, it was captured by the Breen in the 2390 's and after an Black OPS mission 3 days after the crew arrived back at a rendevous point destroyed by it's captain, Roger Holland, well Since on this ship the Omega Procedure was very NOT-secret, they all got an NON-speeking order.
the time went by and Holland was placed on several ships, when he turned 18 he went directly into Starfleet Academy, he went through Marine school; Tactical Securety and Vulcan Research and ofcourse like all 1/2 vulcans through Vulcan Emotional Institute, after that he had done Warp and Slipstream Mechanics as a Minor and R&D as a major, as last he was in Command School, he finished this and became a LT. at graduation.
After the Academy he got a Job at the Utopia Planetia FleetYards R&D Department, he designed the major weapon and Shielding systems for the Phoenix class, and also the bridge was his creation, he promoted to LT. CMDR. and got transferred to StarFleet Tactical and Securety R&D Department, he was one of the major designers on the Photon Rifle and after this the Photon Beam(used as a weapon).
Holland got again promoted and left for eath to help his father at the construction of a new Colony called: Gartolia, the colony was going to be settled near the Klingon HomeWorld Qo'Nos, this was the first Klingon/Federation Colony that was founded by the kligons and by the federation, the 2 Hollands created an Artificial Environment both suitable the Kligons as the other species that were going to live in the colony, the Colony was a great succes and the both hollands got transferred, Roger Hollandwas promoted to Admiral and got Command of the 5th Fleet and Benjamin was transferred to the USS Avalon
